Creative Touch Presence was created on the basis of founder
Gail Smith’s
belief that gift-giving is both an important and a
special part of our everyday
life. Due to the fact that Gail has
lived in many parts
of the U.S. and even abroad, many of her
friends and relatives aren’t
local. As a result, Gail has a long
history of being what she affectionately
terms a “remote gift-giver”.
The challenge in being
a remote gift-giver is that you are sending
a present
to a recipient but are not there personally to give any
context around the
gift. So, Gail quickly realized that the present-
ation of the gift is
the best way to convey that context. The more
creative and embellished
the gift is, the more it tells the other
party that you took that extra time
to create and send them
something special.
Ms. Smith grew up in a very gift-giving environment and
was also
surrounded
by a lot of creative activities that involved color,
fabrics and other media. From
this foundation, she has always
collected unusual gifts, striking gift-wrappings
and wonderful
ribbons and bows. All of this, she brings to her
current business.
Gail Smith spent 24 years in high tech sales and sales management
working
with very technical software and hardware solutions. Last
year she
decided to use the creative side of her brain in launching
Creative Touch
Presence. Her principal goal in the business is to
“make
people smile” by the gift collections that she chooses for
her clients
and by the presentation of them when they are sent to
the recipients. Her
style is both elegant and whimsical and
depending on the client’s needs
she uses one or the other.
